France, "Noces d'Argent" (silver wedding), bronze plaquette medal, undated (1902), by René Baudichon

Obv: a man and wife in classical dress rest a while under an oak tree before continuing on their way, countryside in the background

Rev: a young boy picks apples from a tree

Condition: Good extremely fine or better

Diameter: 66mm x 72mm

References: CGMP 3/p23F, var.

Notes: R Baudichon (1878-1963) was a pupil to Oscar Roty, among others. The obverse captures very nicely the sentiment of a couple travelling through life together, and pausing to reflect at the moment of their silver wedding anniversary.
