Rev: a winged anchor with a bomb each side, IN DEUTSCHER WEHR - LIEGT DEUTSCHE EHR (In the German armament lies German honour)

Edge: BAYER. HAUPTMUNZAMT SILBER .900 (Bavarian Chief Mint .900 [pure] silver)

Notes: Hitler declared compulsory military service of a year's duration for all men aged 18 to 45. His declared aim was to increase the size of the German army from 100,000 to 600,000. This was in direct contravention of the Treaty of Versailles.
