An Arts and Crafts plaque circa 1895, large uniface cast bronze, 212 x 128mm (8 3/10 inches x 5 1/10 inches)

 

The plaque depicts an English leopard left between two rope pulls, A R D below


The plaque is in the style of the Arts & Crafts movement, whose most famous protagonists were probably William Morris and Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
