Condition: Extremely fine; Diameter: 43mm x 81mm References: Notes: the Raid was an attempt to put the port of Zeebrugge out of action, since it posed a serious threat to Allied shipping. The operation was in reality a failure, despite Allied claims to the contrary, as it did not go according to plan. Of 1700 British servicemen involved, 300 were injured and 200 killed.
